Maya MacGuineas Testifies Before House Financial Services Committee

CRFB president Maya MacGuineas testified before the House Financial Services Committee on Thursday, December 20. The hearing, entitled "The Peril of an Ignored National Debt," covered the consequences of a growing debt burden and what lawmakers can do to address it. In addition to MacGuineas, the hearing featured three other witnesses:

• Douglas Holtz-Eakin, President of the American Action Forum
• Brian Riedl, Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute
• Jared Bernstein, Senior Fellow at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities
